Hallelujah

Live audio recording from performances by the Folger Consort and the Choir of Magdalen College, Oxford, at the National Building Museum, Washington, DC, December 20, 21, and 22, 1993.

From the King James Bible

Revelation 19:6, Revelation 11:15, and Revelation 19:16

The full Messiah has three parts, essentially concerning the coming of Christ and his birth; his crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension; and the end times as described in Revelation. The “Hallelujah” chorus comes at the end of Part II, but is often performed as a finale to Part I in reduced-length performances.
